The difference in roles for the induction tutor and mentor?
The induction tutor will oversee the assessment side based on the Teacher Standards - likely to be a senior teacher that oversees ECTs in a school. The mentor will offer a supporting role in line with the ECF. The idea is to separate the support role and assessment role.
